Colour Me...! #82 Wishing you a Beautiful Day card.

The hydrangeas are in bloom and I love them. Hydrangeas reminds me of my grandmother. She loved her hydrangeas and they loved her back. My grandmother used all kinds of home remedies to get the colors deeper, like rusty nails, coins, Reckitt blue etc. Therefore, I used my Hero Arts Hydrangea stamp for Colour Me ...! # 82 Challenge. The first version of the card had a watercolor background in the colors of the challenge. For the second version, I have colored the hydrangea in the colors of the challenge. Actually, they both turned out well, but a little bit “plain”. Finally I have made a stamp with horizontal lines and uses it to make the background of the card. I have stamped a view hydrangeas next to each other using the masking technique. The horizontal lines gives the card a fresh look.

De hortensia’s staan in bloei en ik vind ze  prachtig. Hortensia’s doen mij aan mijn oma denken. Ze was dol op haar hortensia’s en de Hortensia’s waren dol op haar. Mijn oma gebruikte allerlei huis middeltjes om de kleuren nog dieper te krijgen, zoals roestige spijkers, muntjes, Reckitt blue etc. Daarom heb ik voor Colour  Me…! #82 challenge mijn Hero Arts Hortensia stempel gebruikt. De eerste versie had een aquarel achtergrond in de kleuren van de challenge. Voor de tweede versie heb ik de Hortensia  ingekleurd  in de challenge kleuren. Eigenlijk waren ze allebei best goed geworden, maar wel een beetje “gewoontjes”. Uiteindelijk heb ik zelf een streepjes stempel gemaakt en deze gebruikt voor de achtergrond. Met gebruik van de masking techniek heb ik een aantal hortensia’s naast elkaar gestempeld. De horizontale streepjes geven de kaart een frisse look.
