Penguin Pals - Congrats with your Hop to a new Job card.

Hello friends! I don’t know about you, but I am having tons of fun with these little guys. 

Hallo vrienden! Ik weet niet hoe het met jullie zit, maar ik heb veel plezier met deze kleine kereltjes.

To start with, I had lots of fun creating the background, I used Oxide ink and a soft make-up brush to achieve this look. 

Om te beginnen had ik veel plezier bij het maken van de achtergrond. Om deze look te bereiken gebruikte ik Oxide inkt en bracht het aan met een zachte make-up borstel.

I then loosened it up with a splash of water and Perfect Pearls and splattered until my heart was content. Setting it aside to fully dry afterwards.

Ik maakte het geheel een beetje luchtiger met wat druppels water vermengd met Perfect Pearls, totdat ik helemaal tevreden was met het resultaat en het opzij heb gelegd om volledig te laten drogen.

When the background was dry, I used the Star background die to created this starry sky and glued black cardstock on the back.

Toen de achtergrond droog was, heb ik de Star Background die gebruikt om deze sterrenhemel te creëren en heb zwart cardstock op de achterkant gelijmd.

When my background was drying, I stamped these cute little pinquins and the two islands and colored them with Copics. I applied stripes and dots to the hats and scarves with a white gel pen.

Terwijl mijn achtergrond aan het drogen was, heb ik deze schattige kleine pinquïns en de twee eilandjes gestempeld en ingekleurd met Copics. Met een witte gelpen heb ik streepjes en stipjes op de mutsen en sjaals aangebracht.

I used the curvy slider die to make a slot, so that the pinquin can jump from one island to the other. To be with his new friends, or for the hop to a new job!

Ik heb de curvy slider die gebruikt om een sleufje te maken, zo dat de pinquïn van het ene naar het andere eiland kan springen. Om bij zijn nieuwe vriendjes te kunnen komen, of wel voor de sprong naar een nieuwe baan!

To finish off the of the card I then added the sentiments and that was it! I really had fun making this card. 

Om de kaart af te maken heb ik de tekst toegevoegd en dat was het! Ik heb veel plezier gehad met het maken van deze kaart.

Altenew Precious Peony Sympathy card.

Hi, it's Antonia and I am back with another card, this time a sympathy card. Unfortunately, you sometimes need one. 

It's important to think about a few things before you start making the card. For example, how old was the deceased, was it a woman or a man, who are the relatives? Ultimately, you make the card to offer those who stay behind a little comfort and compassion. 

In this case I chose to make a card with flowers in soft pastel pink. I started by stamping one of the flowers from te Altenew Precious Peony set with Versafine Onyx Black ink on Bristol Smooth paper. Versafine Onyx Black ink is a deep black ink, waterproof, but needs a little time to dry. I covered the stamped flower with a flower cut from masking paper.The background is made with Oxide Ink in the color Spun Sugar and a stencil from Dutch Doobadoo called Small Leaves.

I colored the flower and the flower buds with Oxide ink in the same color as the background, Spun Sugar. Oxides are also water reactive, which makes them one of the easiest products to use for watercoloring.

Hallo, het is Antonia en ik ben terug met een andere kaart, dit keer een sympathiekaart. Helaas heb je er soms een nodig. 

Voordat je begin zijn er altijd een aantal dingen waar je even bij stil moet staan. Bijvoorbeeld hoe oud was de overledene, was het een vrouw of een man, wie zijn de nabestaanden? Uiteindelijk maak je de kaart om degene die achterblijven een beetje troost en medeleven te bieden. In dit geval koos ik er voor om een kaart met bloemen in zacht pastelroze te maken. Ik begon met het stempelen van een van de bloemen van de Altenew Precious Peony set met Versafine Onyx Black inkt op Bristol Smooth papier. Versafine Onyx Black inkt is diep zwart van kleur, watervast, maar heeft even tijd nodig om te drogen. De gestempelde bloem bedekte ik met een masker. 

De achtergrond is gemaakt met Oxide-inkt in de kleur Spun Sugar en een stencil van Dutch Doobadoo genaamd Small Leaves.  

De bloem en de bloemknoppen heb ik ingekleurd met Oxide inkt in dezelfde kleur als de achtergrond, Spun Sugar. Oxide inkt reageert op water, waardoor ze een van de gemakkelijkste producten zijn om te gebruiken als waterverf.

Fintastic Friends card.

Recently I made this card for a girl who passed her swimming certificate. Because the quality of the photo was not great, I initially did not publish it on my blog. But the card is so nice that I want to show it to you anyway. The background is made with different shades of blue Distress Oxide ink. The plants and fish come from different stamp sets and I colored them with Copic markers. The text is stamped and embossed on a leftover piece cardstock of the background.I drew some details with a white Gelly Roll pen and embellished  the card with sequins.

Onlangs heb ik deze kaart gemaakt, voor een meisje dat haar zwemdiploma heeft gehaald. Omdat de kwaliteit van de foto niet geweldig was, had ik hem aanvankelijk niet gepubliceerd op mijn blog. Maar de kaart is zo leuk geworden, dat ik hem toch wel aan je wil laten zien. De achtergrond is gemaakt met verschillende tinten blauwe Distress Oxide inkt.

De tekst is gestempeld en geembossed op een restje cardstock van de achtergrond. Ik heb nog wat details getekend met een witte Gelly Roll pen en tot slot heb ik de kaart versierd met sequins.

Tulip card - Simon Says Stamp Kit of The month May.

I was experimenting with the Ranger Alcohol Pearl Ink, in the colors Intrique, Sublime and Tranquil on Yupo paper from the Simon Says Stamp Kit of The month May. The ink formed puddles of color and the pink puddles where looking like tulips. I've cut out the flowers, leaves and stems with the Altenew Tulip dies. And then the "Hello" with the Altenew Halftone Hello die. I embellished the card using a few punched hearts from the leftovers and some pearl sequins. 

Ik was aan het experimenteren met Ranger Alcohol Pearl Inkt in de kleuren Intrique, Sublime en Tranquil op Yupo papier uit de Simon Says Stamp Kit of The month May. De inkt vormde plasjes kleur, waarvan de roze plasjes leken op tulpen. Ik heb de bloemen, bladeren en stengels uitgesneden met de Altenew Tulip dies. Daarna heb ik "Hello" uitgesneden met de Altenew Halftone  Hello die. Als versiering heb ik een paar geponste hartjes geponst uit de restjes en enkele pearl sequins gebruikt.

Egeltjeskaart met ombre achtergrond - Hedgehog card with ombre background.

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor vrienden die alweer een paar jaar getrouwd zijn. Ik wilde een zelfgemaakte kaart sturen, maar had maar weinig tijd om deze te maken. Als ik meer tijd had gehad, zou ik hem opnieuw hebben gemaakt en dan een aantal dingen hebben veranderd. Ik zou b.v. het geëmboste gedeelte als laag op de kaart hebben geplakt. Ook de lay-out van de hartjes zou ik anders doen.

Hoe zo ik OCD...?!

I made this card for friends who have been married for a few years. I wanted to send a home-made card, but had little time to make it. If I had had more time, I would have recreated it and changed some things. For example, I would have glued the embosed front as a layer on the card. I would also change the layout of the hearts.

What do you mean ... me OCD ?!

Ik heb de voorkant van de kaart ingekleurd met Oxide inkt en een make-up borsteltje van de Hema, dat werkt perfect.
I colored the front of the card with Oxide ink and a make-up brush that works perfectly.

Daarna geëmbosed met de Marianne Design embossingfolder DF3413.

Then dry embossed with the Marianne Design embossing folder DF3413.

De egeltjes van de Simon Says Stamp The Sweetest stempel, heb ik gestempeld met Simon Says Stamp Intense Black inkt en ingekleurd met Copic markers. Ik heb roze en mint tinten gebruikt die goed passen bij de roze tinten Oxide Inkt.
I stamped the hedgehogs from the Simon Says Stamp The Sweetest stamp with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used pink and mint shades that go well with the pink Oxide Ink.

De tekst is geschreven met een Pigma Micron 02 op een restje papier, dat ik eerst heb gekleurd met een Copic marker in een bijpassende kleur. Daarna heb ik enkele details een laagje Wink of Stella gegeven. Helaas is dat op de foto niet echt goed te zien. Maar "in het echt" geeft dat kleine beetje glitter net wat extra's! 

The text is written with a Pigma Micron 02 on a piece of paper, which I first colored with a Copic marker in a matching color. Then I gave some details a layer of Wink or Stella.

Unfortunately, that is not really visible in the photo. But "in real life" gives that little bit of glitter just that little bit extra!

'Chin Up!' and 'To the Happy Couple' card.

I made the backgroud for this card using a few different sizes heart stamps and Oxide ink. I had the stamp the hearts a few times to get a good impression, but that's no problem at all with the Misti. For the background behind te sentiments on the card I colored some leftover paper with Oxide ink in the same colors of the hearts. I love this cute giraffe stamp and had so much fun coloring him! 

  De achtergrond voor deze kaarten heb ik gemaakt met hartjesstempels in verschillende afmetingen en Oxide inkt. Ik heb ze een paar keer moeten stempelen om een goede afdruk te krijgen, maar met de Misti is dat geen probleem. Voor de achtergrond van de teksten op de kaart heb ik een paar restjes papier ingekleurd met dezelfde inkt die ik gebruikt heb voor de hartjes. Ik vind de giraf zo schattig en heb zoveel plezier gehad met het inkleuren!

For friends who recently celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary, I made a card in the same style, but with 2 foxes in love instead of the giraffe.

Voor vrienden die onlangs hun 28 jarige huwelijksdag vierden, heb ik een kaart in dezelfde stijl gemaakt, maar met 2 verliefde vosjes in plaats van het girafje.
