Colour Me...! Design Team Member!

I have the privilege to be a design team member of the Colour Me...! design team.

The next six months I'm to going to work with a group of talented designers from all over the world.

I hope to translate the challenges into cards that will inspire you.

Ik heb het voorrecht om lid te zijn van het Colour Me...! design team.

De komende 6 maanden mag ik samen werken met een groep getalenteerde designers vanuit de hele wereld. Ik hoop de uitdagingen te vertalen naar kaarten die je inspireren.

You make my world go round.

I love the Beach Ball theme, I spend my childhood near the beach and I still miss it.

You're Sweet card ~ Curtain Call Beach Ball challenge.

Playing along with a challenge always makes you grow as a designer. It may, for example, encourage you to use a particular color combination. For me that was the case with the http://curtaincallchallenge.blogspot.nl/2015/06/curtain-call-inspiration-challenge.html
I would not use these colors together quickly, and yet they look beautiful together, especially when combined with lots of white. I could not resist to make a shaker card again and I am glad I joined this challenge.

Door mee te doen aan een uitdaging, groei je als een designer. Het kan je bij voorbeeld uitdagen om een bepaalde kleurencombinatie te gebruiken. Dat was voor mij het geval met de http://curtaincallchallenge.blogspot.nl/2015/06/curtain-call-inspiration-challenge.html Ik zou deze kleuren niet zo snel samen gebruikt hebbben, maar toch staan ze goed bij elkaar, zeker met veel wit. Ik kon het niet nalaten om er een shaker kaart van te maken en ben blij dat ik aan deze challenge mee gedaan heb.

Home is where the heart is.., that is so true!

When I saw this challenge at http://sparkleandshinechallenge.blogspot.nl/ I fel in love with the soft green ombre colors. 

I made the background of my card with Distress ink and used the colours Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass and Bundled Sage. I mixed up the ink and added some water and painted it on watercolour paper from dark to light 

After the background had dried, I stamped the little house scene with Versafine Smokey Gray.

The houses on the front of my card are stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and painted with the same ink and the same colours as the background. The card frame is made with the Lawn Fawn rectangle dies and the shaker frame is made with dimensional foam tape. The shaker is filled with silver sequins, soft blue and soft green seed beads, silver caviar, and glitterdust. It was so much fun to fill up the frame!

Toen ik deze challenge voor het eerst zag op http://sparkleandshinechallenge.blogspot.nl/, werd ik verlieft op de zacht grone ombre kleuren.

De achtergrond van mijn kaart is gemaakt met Distress inkt in de kleuren Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass en Bundled Sage. Ik heb de kleuren gemengd samen met wat water van donker naar licht geschilderd op aquarellpapier. 

Toen de achtergrond droog was, heb ik er met Versafine Smokey Gray een rijtje huisen op gestempeld. The huisjes op de voorgrond zijn gestempeld met Versafine Onyx Black inkt en geschilderd met dezelfde kleuren inkt als de achtergrond. De kaart frame is gemaakt met de Lawn Fawn rectangle dies en de shaker is gemaakt met dimensional tape. De shaker is gevuld met zilveren paillettes,  zacht blauw en zacht groene kraaltjes, zilveren kaviaar en glitterstof. 

Het was zo leuk om de shaker the vullen!
