Paper Players Challenge #215: A Sketch From Sandy / Art journey challenge #49

The challenge at Paperplayers and Art Journey for the month of september is using small squares. 
My card is clean and simple, because the stamp is beautiful as it is.

Mijn kaart is clean en simple, omdat de prachtige stempel zo goed tot zijn recht komt.

Retiring from job party ~ Art Impressions 'In the tub' card.

Yesterday my hubby and I went to a party, because our friend Marianne retired from her job.
So I wanted to make a card to go with our gift.
The perfect occasion to use the 'In the tub' stamp from Art Impressions!
It was so much fun to make this card, the ladies on this stamp are so funny.
I coult not help myself, I had the ad some details to the stamp. I know a few sweet older ladies who still getting the best out of life. One of them is colouring her hair way too dark and one of them uses too much blue eye shadow! They are always wearing their golden jewelry and enjoying a nice glass of wine. I kept these women in mind while I was coloring my stamped image.
Unfortunately I had not enough time to finish the tub perfectly and had to make the pictures in a hurry.

Gisteren hadden we een feestje omdat onze vriendin Marianne is gestopt met werken en met pensioen is gegaan. Daarom wilde ik een kaartje maken dat goed bij ons cadeautje paste.

Het was zo leuk om deze kaart te maken, de afgebeelde dames zijn zo leuk.

Ik kon het niet laten om nog enige details aan deze stempel toe te voegen. Ik ken een paar oudere dames, die nog steeds het beste van hun leven maken. Een van hen kleurt haar haren véél te zwart en de andere dame gebruikt steevast veel te veel knalblauwe oogschaduw. Ze hebben altijd hun gouden sieraden aan en lusten graag een glaasje wijn. Tijdens het inkleuren van de afbeelding had ik deze dames in gedachte. Helaas had ik niet genoeg tijd om de tub perfect in te kleuren en moest ik de foto's snel nemen.

September Challenge ScrapPlezier ~ StampinUp! Secret Garden card.

I paticipate in the september challenge of the ScrapPlezier blog. It's still warm outside, so the ScrapPlezier challenge of this month fits perfectly. It has delicate shades of pink and green, a tag, and a sentiment. I'm totally in love with the work of the French Cilou and I've made this card with Cilou's art in mind. Cilou frequently uses the StampingUp! products. All the cards made with te SU products look all a bit alike, but this is not the case with the cards Cilou makes. Everything she makes is a piece of art.
I'm totally happy with the result and I'm not going to send the card yet and enjoy it for a while!

Ik neem deze maand deel aan de september challenge van het ScrapPlezier blog.
Het is nog lekker warm buiten, dus daar past de ScrapPlezier challenge van deze maand prima bij. Het heeft tere tinten roze en groen, een tag en een tekst.
Nu ben ik helemaal weg van het werk van de Franse Cilou en met haar werk in gedachte heb ik de kaart gemaakt. Cilou maakt veel gebruik van de producten van StampingUp!. Meestal lijken de kaarten gemaakt met de StampingUp! producten toch wel een beetje op elkaar, maar dit is bij Cilou helemaal niet het geval. Alles wat ze maakt zijn kleine kunstwerkjes.
Ik ben helemaal blij met het resultaat, ik ga de kaart nog even niet versturen maar ga er nog lekker van genieten!

Yesterday I've hosted a workshop how to use IndigoBlu Megaflakes on your projects.
It is hard to imagine that you can make such beautiful things with the Mega Flakes. If you have no experience working with the flakes, it's very important to keep your fingers and your equipment clean. Working with the Mega Flakes is not difficult and the results are great. By the way, I'm not sponsored by IndigoBlu, I just love there stamps.

Gisteren heb ik een workshop gegeven hoe je IndigoBlu Megaflakes kunt gebruiken.
Als je nog geen ervaring hebt met de Mega Flakes, is het moeilijk voor je stellen dat je met deze Mega Flakes zulke mooie dingen kunt maken. Het is wel belangrijk om je vingers en je materiaal schoon te houden tijdens het werken met dit product. Verder is het niet moeilijk om er mee te werken en het resultaat is super. Tussen twee haakjes, je zou haast denken dat ik ben gesponsord door IndugoBlu.
